So remember how I said I wanted to start making jewelry again?
Well over the weekend I was hit with inspiration and I made this pretty necklace. :)
I'm pretty proud of how most of the materials are recycled. I like to re-use stuff, not as much because of the whole "go green!" thing, (which is still awesome) but more because I always see new uses for things and can't bear to throw them away.
Now you think I'm a hoarder.
I'm not, don't worry! I most definitely know how to clean stuff out. Except maybe fabric. I have trouble throwing that stuff away, I currently have three suitcases and a cabinet full of it.
Anyways, most of the chains are from old necklaces, as are the jumble of beads. I did buy the leather for the rosette, (yes, it's made of leather!) but I bought it at an outlet fabric store so it's sortof recycled.
The new week starts tomorrow! I hope you are as energized as I am :)

Thank ya! :)
ReplyDeleteMaking jewelry isn't as much difficult as it is time consuming. Having good tools like some strong glue and tiny pliers is a must. Just don't be afraid to experiment and practice!
